Moroccan Highlights

1. Sahara Desert

The Sahara Desert is a stunning place in our world, and Morocco is a great starting point for venturing into the dunes. You will need to mentally and physically prepare yourself for the intense heat, but who doesn’t enjoy a challenge? Regardless of the heat, the Sahara has a beauty of its own, that is a must-see in person. Endless layers of soft golden sand dunes fill the horizon, and climbing up these massive dunes will surreal when you can sandboard down them. The atmosphere is so quiet and peaceful, and watching the sunset or sunrise over the desert will be unforgettable. You’ll also witness amazing stars here, as there is barely any light pollution from civilization to cover them up. To experience the full effect of the Sahara we STRONGLY advise you sign up for the Addon.

2. Impressive Architecture

Moroccan architecture is so intriguing that it’s hard not to photograph every single street you walk down. Whether it’s a luxury hotel, cheap hostel, trendy café, garden, government building, or random house, there is some sort of appealing architectural design on the building. It is not likely you will see one place that looks the same as another. Lots of buildings are made out of red clay, especially in the mountains and desert, as the material is cheap and readily available. Morocco will be so much fun to explore the quaint cobalt blue streets and zesty, spice-filled markets.

3. Immersive Culture

There is a very special culture in Morocco. Some of the world’s most exotic and delicious cuisines inarguably come from Morocco, including their famous mint tea. They have a goal there that the higher of a tea pour you can do, the better the tea will be. Moroccan people make sure they dedicate to food the time it deserves. Homemade bread, fresh salads, tagines, couscous, and delicious pastries are always on the table. The Berbers are some of the friendliest and most hospitable people. People live simply and will always try to make sure you feel welcome as a guest. Language is not a barrier – with smiles, gestures, food and, of course, that ubiquitous mint tea.
